Okay... Keeby just proved that he's trying to get Adeliene arrested, and Sera not only screws up and confesses to the murder, she willingly provides proof that she did it to the one person who thinks she might not be. And it isn't out of guilt or anything, just because. Oh, and it doesn't help that they're not just arresting Sera on the spot. And I just realized that they just let Adeliene go on her own to get Kirby even though she was the prime suspect and could've easily escaped to an entirely different planet. Dreamland has the dumbest justice system ever. But it's not Gigi's fault; this is a world where the hero mercilessly devours nearly every living thing in sight, regardless of how threatening they might be.

This isn't even like a real court. Kirby just suggested the thing.

@ForestFire: I mean, to be fair... Keeby IS the prosecutor. That's kinda what he's supposed to do, to an extent.

That's not to say he isn't taking it too far here, though... a confession is usually enough to shut everyone up, even the opposition. I was on his side before because he was taking a more logical standpoint on things, but it's kinda turned on its head by now.

@Sapar: I'm not saying this is the case here, but sometimes people "confess" to a crime so they could protect the real perpetrator behind said crime for one reason or another.

Not that it's very likely that ANYONE in their right mind would put their life on the line for a criminal. But I've seen crazier things happen.

@Sapar: At this point, he's trying to get Adeliene in particular convicted. As you said, a normal prosecutor wouldn't be so quick to doubt a confession, ESPECIALLY from someone who had just switched their opinion in the blink of an eye and withheld information for their own benefit.

@TechGamer5: I honestly hope that this is either an imposter or Keeby's possessed.

@Kebi_in_your_pants: That's certainly true, but it was pretty cut-and-dry here. Especially since Sera's been acting pretty suspicious for the entire trial.

Honestly, I'm more bothered that NOBODY seemed to notice Sera's strange behavior until very far into things... especially when she suddenly turned cryptic after Kirby pointed out the flaws in her story, you'd think that would raise a few warning bells.

Keeby, what the heck do you even want?

Posted at December 10th, 2015, 7:44 pm

Wait! That is the knife from a Ninja Kirby! And I think I see what's going on here. Keeby is so desperate to beat Kirby for once that he's denying the truth (which Kirby supports) to try to get his point of view as the correct one. Poor Keeby.
